Baccarat History

The history of Baccarat is thought to date back to the late 1400’s in Italy, but it was not until it became one of the games of choice of the French nobility during the reign of Charles VIII (1483 -1498) that the game really took off.

The modern version of Baccarat originated in Britain and finally found its way to the casinos of the world. It still holds a place in most casinos as the game of the elite, but with the introduction of Online Baccarat the game has now become a game for everyone.

The legend refers to nine gods who prey on a virgin that has to throw a nine-sided dice. Her roll literally decided whether she lived or died.
